We have great news- Niels Peteri, son of one of the two men that successfully made the crossing of the North Sea in 1941 has got in contact.
It is so great to have his backing for the trip, and it seems that Henri Peteri tried a few times to make this event happen, and would be very pleased to see it going ahead this year.
We will keep you all posted with any news, but its great to have such a personal touch to the crossing later this year.
In memory of the thirty-wo young Dutchmen who tried to escape to England by kayak during World War II to join the Allied Forces. Eight of them reached the English Coast.

Sea Kayaking UK
Many thanks to Sea Kayaking UK and Nigel Dennis for his donation of three suitable kayaks for the crossing. Its so great to have them on board, so we can now start the long awaited "distance training" whilst we get everything else in order. With the help of Nigel and his team, everything is really coming together. Photos of the kayaks arrival to follow. If anyone else wants to help let us know!
